Servings
For the Recipe
- Full cream milk – 1 liter
- Basmati rice (soaked) 2 tsp (soaked for 30 minutes, then ground to a coarse paste)
- Cadbury Dairy Milk - 1 Regular Bar
- Sugar - 1 tsp (adjust as per taste)
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
- Chopped nuts – almonds, pistachios (optional for garnish)
- Silver vark for garnishing (optional)
Directions

Soak basmati rice in water for 30 minutes, then grind it into a coarse paste.

In a heavy-bottomed pan, bring the milk to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

Reduce the heat to low. Slowly add the ground rice paste, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Continue stirring on low heat for 15–20 minutes, until the phirni thickens to a pudding-like consistency.

Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding sugar. Stir well until fully dissolved and smooth.

Chop the Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate into small pieces.

Add the chopped chocolate to the phirni and mix well.

Stir continuously until the chocolate melts completely and blends into the mixture.

For extra texture, optionally add chopped cashews and almonds.

Add a pinch of cardamom powder to enhance the phirni with a traditional Indian aroma and flavor.

Pour the phirni into serving bowls or earthenware cups. Let it cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour for the best flavor.

Garnish with silver vark and chopped pistachios (or any nuts of your choice). Serve chilled.
For extra indulgence, top with a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
