Use airtight containers: Keeping holi sweets in airtight containers for refrigeration is a must to preserve freshness. For best results, it is ideal to use glass or steel containers.
Allow holi sweets to cool completely: It is mandatory to let the freshly-made holi sweets cool completely before serving or packaging them. This helps to prevent unnecessary moisture buildup, which eventually leads to spoilage.
Try freezing: Freezing is the most efficient method for long-term storage. Holi sweets like gujia, barfis, halwa, and laddoos can be frozen if kept in a freezer bag. Just before consumption, it is always recommended to thaw them in the refrigerator.
Bring sweets to room temperature: Refrigeration often makes Holi sweets hard. If that happens, it is always ideal to soften them by bringing them to room temperature.
Traditional sweet boxes: To spread the joy of the occasion, go for the traditional sweet gift boxes filled with Holi-special delicacies like gujiya, thandai chocolate fudge, barfi, and malpua.
Modern curated festive hampers: Modern curated gifting ideas are all about mixing traditional with contemporary. While curating the Holi gift baskets, one may include a mix of traditional sweetslike malpua, gujia, and gulab jamun, with modern thandai chocolate fudge, thandai chocolate bark and more.
Curating a mix of sweet and savory: As the name suggests, this type of gift box features a perfect balance of sugary treats with salty items like mathri, bhujia, and mewa kachori.
