Servings
For the Recipe
- Mawa (khoya) – 1 cup
- Powdered sugar – 1/4 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tsp (for greasing)
- Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate - 5-6 pieces
- Chopped nuts- 2 tbsp (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
Directions

Finely chop the Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate into small pieces for easy incorporation.

In a bowl, combine finely chopped nuts for crunch and chopped chocolate pieces. Mix well and refrigerate briefly if the mixture is too soft to handle.

Heat a non-stick pan and add the mawa. Cook on low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring constantly, until it softens.

Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. Then, stir in the powdered sugar and cardamom powder.

Once cooled, lightly knead until a smooth, soft dough forms.

Grease the modak mold with a small amount of ghee. Take a small portion of the mawa mixture and press it into the mold.

Place a small portion of the chocolate filling in the center, then carefully seal the edges. Add a little more of the mawa mixture to ensure the modak is fully covered.

Carefully open the mold and remove the modak. Place the modaks on a plate and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to firm up. Serve chilled or slightly warmed for a melty chocolate center.
These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1–2 days.
