For the Recipe

  • Cadbury cocoa powder: 6-7 tsp
  • Mini Rasgulla: 10 pieces
  • Sugar: 2 tbsp
  • Hot Water: 2 tbsp
  • Instant Coffee Powder: 2 tbsp
  • Cream Cheese: 1 cup
  • Powdered Sugar: 1 / 4 cup

Directions

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Coffee Sugar Water
Step 1

Combine equal parts coffee, sugar, and water in a bowl.

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Whisking Frothy Mixture
Step 2

Whisk vigorously until the mixture becomes thick, light, and frothy. You can store the leftover froth in the fridge for future use.

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Mixing Cream Cheese
Step 3

In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla essence.

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Piping Bag Mixture
Step 4

Whisk until smooth, then fold in a few tablespoons of the coffee froth you made earlier. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and let it chill in the fridge to firm up

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Squeezing Rasgullas
Step 5

Gently squeeze the sugar syrup out of the rasgullas

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Soaking Rasgullas Coffee
Step 6

Soak rasgullas in a coffee solution for 2 seconds.

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Arranging Rasgullas Dish
Step 7

Arrange the soaked rasgullas at the bottom of your serving dish.

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Layering Cream Cheese Mixture
Step 8

Add a thick layer of the chilled cream cheese mixture over the rasgullas.

Cocoa Flavored Rasgulla Tiramisu - Dusting Cocoa Powder
Step 9

Dust the top generously with cocoa powder. Chill the dessert in the freezer for a short while or the fridge until set before serving!

Tips:

Add a tiny pinch of salt to your cream cheese mixture. Since rasgullas are incredibly sweet, the salt cuts through the sugar and makes the coffee flavor "pop" rather than being drowned out by sweetness.
