Ingredients:

  • 28 Oreos (2 small packs)

  • 2 cups Cadbury Bournville dark chocolate, chopped
  • ⅓ cup white chocolate, optional

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside. Make sure to pick a tray that fits into your freezer.
  2. Add the Oreos into a blender and grind them down until they resemble fine bread crumbs.
  3. Add the cream cheese to the Oreos and, using a hand mixer, mix until well combined. Make sure not to overmix, and stop just when the Oreo crumbs are mixed with the cream cheese, to avoid them from disintegrating.
  4. Scoop heaped tablespoons of the mixture on the lined tray. You should roughly have around 12 big Oreo balls. If you want more of them, scoop up fewer.
  5. Roll the rough Oreo balls between your palms; the mixture should be firm and not too soft. Once all the Oreo balls are rolled, freeze them for 15 minutes.
  6. While Oreo balls firm up further, melt your dark chocolate, preferably with a little butter for more smoothness and fewer chances for it to crack.
  7. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, pausing every 20 seconds to stir, until it is melted.
  8. Take out the Oreo balls from the freezer and dip each in the melted chocolate. Use two forks or chopsticks to roll them in the chocolate until fully coated. Lift them and let any excess drip off.
  9. Once the Oreo balls are completely swamped in chocolate, decorate them at will. We recommend a contrast, like white chocolate.
  10. Just like how you melted the dark chocolate, do the same for the white chocolate without the butter. Pause every 20 seconds to stir the white chocolate, to prevent it from burning. Stop when fully melted.
  11. Transfer the melted white chocolate into a piping bag, with a tiny bit snipped off from the pointed end. Pipe the white chocolate over the Oreo balls in a zig-zag motion.
  12. Set aside until the white chocolate hardens. Then they are ready to eat!
