Servings
For the Recipe
- Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk - 1/2 cup chopped
- Lauki (Bottle Gourd) - 1 medium sized (grated)
- Milk - 1 & 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 3-4 tsp (or as per your taste)
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tsp
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachio) - 1/3 cup
- Raisins - 1 tsp
Directions

In a non-stick pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee over medium heat.

Add the grated lauki, ensuring it is peeled, grated, and any excess water is squeezed out. This helps prevent the halwa from becoming too watery.

And sauté it for 2-3 minutes until it becomes slightly tender.

Pour in the milk and let the lauki cook in the milk.

Stir occasionally and cook until the milk reduces and the lauki softens (about 10-15 minutes). The milk should be almost absorbed by the lauki at this point.

Add sugar according to your sweetness preference and mix it in.

Add raisins.

Add chopped nuts.

Add cardamom powder and stir. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes for a fragrant finish.

Chop silk chocolate.

Add the chopped chocolate to the mixture.

And stir until it melts and blends into the halwa, creating a smooth, chocolaty texture. Let the mixture cook for another 5-7 minutes until it thickens to a halwa consistency. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.

Garnish with chopped nuts for extra texture and flavor. Serve warm.
