Servings
For the Recipe
- Sabudana (tapioca pearls) – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 3 cups (full cream preferred)
- Powdered Sugar – 1/4 cup (adjust to taste)
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
- Pistachios – 2 tbsp, chopped
- Dairy Milk Chocolate – 1 bar
- Ghee – 1 tsp (optional, for roasting nuts)
- Water – for soaking
- Silver warq (for garnishing - optional)
Directions

Rinse sabudana thoroughly and soak in just enough water to cover them for 3–4 hours, or until soft. In a pan, combine the soaked sabudana with 1 cup of water.

Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sabudana turns translucent and soft.

Add the milk and bring it to a gentle boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer until the mixture becomes thick and creamy, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.

Add powdered sugar to taste, stirring until fully dissolved.

Sprinkle in half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, mix well, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the kheer slightly thickens.

Optionally, add raisins to the kheer for a touch of sweetness and texture.

Stir in the chopped, roasted pistachios into the kheer for added crunch and flavor.

Chop the Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate into pieces.

Remove from heat and sprinkle the chopped Dairy Milk chocolate on top. Allow some chocolate to melt for a gooey texture, while leaving some chunks for crunch. Optionally, garnish with silver warq for a festive touch. Serve warm for a melty chocolate experience.
Serve immediately, or refrigerate the kheer for 30-45 minutes for a chilled treat.
