Servings
For the Recipe
- 10 pieces Oreo cookies
- 1 cup oats
- ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- ¼ cup chopped almonds
- 1 cup melted dark chocolate
- 6 tsp honey
Directions

Take a large mixing bowl and break the Oreo cookies into small pieces using your hands. Avoid grinding them to keep the crumbly texture with a few chunks for a satisfying feel.

Add rolled oats to the same bowl. Make sure you’re using old-fashioned rolled oats, not instant or steel-cut oats, for the best texture and binding.

Add pumpkin seeds to the bowl. These will give your bars a satisfying crunch and an extra nutritional boost.

Next, add chia seeds to the mixture. These help with nutrition and also add a slight gel-like texture once set.

Add chopped nuts of your choice. You can use walnuts, almonds, cashews, or a mix. Feel free to substitute with dried fruits like raisins or cranberries if you prefer.

Pour honey over the mixture. This acts as the main binder, so use good-quality thick honey for best results.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly using a spatula or your hands. Continue mixing until the mixture becomes cohesive and holds its shape when pressed together. Then, transfer it into a lined or greased baking tray. Spread it evenly and press down firmly using a spatula or the back of a spoon to compact the mixture.

Melt some chocolate and pour it evenly over the top of the pressed mixture. Spread the chocolate to cover the surface completely. Place the tray in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours or until fully set.

Once firm, remove from the refrigerator. Cut into bars or squares using a sharp knife. Serve and enjoy your delicious Oreo Granola Bars!
Add more nuts if desired to introduce different textures. Toast them on a dry pan, then slice or chop them up to amplify the crunch.
Serve warm with a side of chocolate or vanilla ice cream or evensome whipped cream. Store it in the fridge always.
