Servings
For the Recipe
- 6 pieces Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk chocolate
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup seedless dates
- ¼ cup any rice
- ¼ tsp chopped pistachio for garnishing
Directions

Soak the dates in ¼ cup of warm milk for 20 minutes. Then, grind the soaked dates into a smooth paste.

Boil 2 cups of milk in a pan until it reduces slightly in volume. Now, add the date paste to the milk and mix well. Do not boil after adding the paste.

Next, add the rice to the milk and let it cook until the rice is fully done.

Once the rice is cooked, add Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk chocolate and mix well until fully melted.

Pour the payasam into a bowl and garnish with chopped pistachios. Serve hot or chilled.
No need to add sugar to the payasam as the sweetness of date and chocolate is very much enough.
