Servings
For the Recipe
- 8 pieces of cadbury Dairy milk chocolate
- 1 litre milk
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp curd
Directions

Take 1 liter of whole milk or full fat milk in a heavy kadai pan. Keep the flame to low or medium-low and begin to heat the milk. Keep stirring until the milk reduces by half.

Then add condensed milk and keep stirring until the condensed milk is mixed.

Now add cardamom powder and mix again.

Now add the diary milk chocolate to the milk. Mix very well till all the chocolate is dissolved.

Switch off the gas. Let the milk cool a little. The milk should be warm – meaning if you dip your finger in the milk, your finger should feel comfortably warm, but not hot. Mix the curd with the milk.

With a whisk, mix very well.

Now pour the mixture into any bowl.

Cover it with aluminum foil. Keep it in a warm place for it to set. Dough takes longer to set than curd or yogurt.

Once set, keep it in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours and serve chilled.
Opt to serve Mishti Doi as is without any toppings or garnishes.
It tastes delicious.
But if you want more drama, consider adding some garnishes of sliced nuts like almonds, pistachios, or cashews.
