Servings
For the Recipe
- 5 pieces Cadbury Bournville Dark Chocolate
- ½ kg grated soya paneer (you can use any paneer)
- 1 cup condensed milk
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup chopped roasted almonds
Directions

Heat the pan, add ghee, grated paneer, and condensed milk together.

Add cardamom powder for extra flavor. If you prefer not to add cardamom powder, you can skip this step. Alternatively, you can also add rose essence.

Add ½ cup of sugar and mix well. Adjust the amount of sugar based on your taste.

Simmer this mixture over low heat, stirring at intervals. Grease a pan or tray with some ghee or oil, or line it with parchment paper. When the mixture is well thickened and begins to leave the sides of the pan, transfer half the portion of the kalakand mixture to the tray. Let it cool.

Now, for the remaining half portion, break the Cadbury Bournville chocolate and mix it well. Continue stirring until the chocolate has melted and combined properly.

Transfer the chocolate mixture to the same baking tray and cover the white portion with it.

Garnish with chopped almonds and then refrigerate for 1 hour. Once the Kalakand has set properly, cut it and serve.
If the Kalakand isn’t set properly, don’t fret. You can simply serve it with a spoon like halwa. It still tastes delicious.
