Servings
For the Recipe
- 1 packet Cadbury Dairymilk chocolate family pack
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tsp ghee
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 2 tsp chopped nuts
- 4 cups vegetable oil
Directions

Heat ghee in a small frying pan. Add the desiccated coconut and roast, stirring often, till the coconut turns golden. Let it cool and transfer to a plate.

Add fried sesame seeds and chopped dry fruit mixture to the coconut mixture.

Finely chop Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate.

Add chopped Dairy Milk chocolate with coconut mixer. Mix everything well and keep the stuffing aside.

Take a medium-sized bowl and take the flour. Add the hot melted ghee and salt. Just mix everything with a spoon.

Add milk in parts and knead the dough until smooth. The dough has to be smooth but also tight and firm. Do not make it soft like roti dough. Cover the dough with a moist kitchen towel and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.

With a rolling pin on a dusted board, roll the dough ball in a 4- to 5-inch-diameter circle.

Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of the prepared stuffing in the center or on one side of the circle, keeping the edges empty.

Apply water all over the outer edge. Now, with the help of a fork, shape and make all the karanji this way.

Keep all the karanji on a plate. Cover it with a towel.

Heat oil for deep frying in a pan or kadai until moderately hot. Gently place the prepared karanji in hot oil.

Fry until golden brown. Keep it on a plate and let it cool down.

Melt dairy milk chocolate. Garnish with melted Dairymilk chocolate.
Serve Karanji warm or at room temperature.
