For the Recipe
- 8 pieces of Cadbury Bournville Dark Chocolate
- 1 cup soaked moong dal
- 2 cups sugar water
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 3/4 cup chopped dry fruits
Directions

Soak one cup of moong dal overnight. Drain the water completely and add it to a blender jar to blend it to a not-so-smooth but very slightly coarse texture.

Heat 4 tablespoons of ghee in a medium-sized pan, then add ground moong dal. At this time, you can add a little semolina for more texture, but this step is totally optional.

Continuously mix and fry till the moisture evaporates.

When moong dal is done, it resembles a sand-like texture. Add prepared sugar water at this stage.

Keep stirring continuously and cook on a medium flame until all the liquid is absorbed in the saffron water, and remix it. The Halwa texture will become thick at this stage.

Now add Cadbury Bonneville chocolates. Wait for a few minutes until the chocolate starts melting, then continue mixing it.

Cook for another two minutes. Sauté the halwa mixture until it leaves the pan.

Transfer it to a bowl. Garnish and serve hot.
You can add mawa to make the Halwa richer and delicious.
