In the grand nine-day-long celebration of Goddess Durga's triumph over evil Mahishasura, sweets and desserts play a significant role. During this period, devotees primarily stick to a ‘sattvic’ diet. And malai laddu perfectly aligns with it, as it contains no grains, wheat, or lentils. For the Recipe
For the Malai Laddu:- Paneer - 1 cup (crumbled)
- Condensed milk - 1 / 2 cup (adjust as per the consistency)
- Milk Powder - 2 tsp
- Cardamom powder - ½ teaspoon
- Cadbury OREO Cookies - 5-6
- Melted chocolate - 2 tsp
- Pistachio (finely chopped or powdered)
Directions

In a blender jar, add Cadbury Oreo Cookies and blend to a fine powder; keep aside for later use.

Crumble the paneer into a non-stick pan and add the condensed milk. Mix well until the paneer is evenly coated.

Add the milk powder and combine everything thoroughly.

Cook the mixture over low to medium heat, stirring continuously to prevent it from sticking to the pan.

Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and begins to leave the sides of the pan. The mixture should come together into a soft, smooth, dough-like consistency. Add the cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Divide the prepared malai mixture into two equal portions, and add the Cadbury Oreo Powder to one portion

Mix gently until the Oreo powder is evenly incorporated with the malai mixture.

Once the mixtures are warm enough to handle, lightly grease your palms or a laddo mould with ghee

Divide both mixtures equally between the molds and press gently to set.

Carefully open the mould and gently demould the modak onto a serving plate.

Once all the Laddus are ready, let them set for 10-15 minutes, or you can refrigerate them.

For the finishing touch, drizzle melted chocolate around the joining line of each laddu

Sprinkle finely chopped pistachios over the melted chocolate and allow it to set slightly before serving.

Enjoy this yummilicious and super-easy recipe during your Navratri fast.
Don’t overcook the mixture. It should remain soft and creamy for melt-in-the-mouth Malai Laddus.
