How to Make a Cadbury Peanut Butter

Remove the cream from the Oreo cookies and add only the cookies to a food processor and process until fine crumbs are formed.

Line the tin with parchment paper/ baking paper so that it becomes easier to take out once it is done.

Mix melted butter and Oreos and press into baking pan evenly and freeze for about 10 minutes.

Add the peanut butter, melted butter and cracker biscuit crumbs in a bowl and blend till it becomes creamy, about 1 minute.

Gently spread the peanut butter filling into the baking dish.

Level the peanut butter filling evenly on the pan and return to freezer for about 15 minutes.

Melt the Chocolate using double boiler or the microwave, and add the peanut butter and stir until it is smooth.

Layer this Chocolate filling on top of the peanut butter in the tin, add coarsely crushed peanuts if desired and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.

After it is set, take it out of the to, and slice it into small squares. Keep refrigerated.
Why This Layered Bar Is a Peanut Butter Lover's Dream
Every layer of this Cadbury peanut butter recipe has its own texture in each bite, from the crunchy Oreo bottom to the thick, creamy peanut butter middle to the firm, glossy chocolate top. That contrast is what makes these bars so satisfying; there is something different in every mouthful, not a uniform texture. This Cadbury peanut butter dessert takes the classic peanut butter and chocolate combo to a truly layered, textural level for anyone who loves it.
How To Store Cadbury Peanut Butter Recipe
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. You can put a sheet of parchment paper between each bar so they don’t stick together.
- These bars also freeze well for up to 1 month in an airtight, freezer-safe container. Serve chilled, thawed in the refrigerator for a few hours.
- Bars can be eaten directly from the fridge or left at room temperature for a few minutes for a softer bite. Don’t leave them out too long, though, as the peanut butter layer can get quite soft in warm weather.
Tips & Tricks
- Chill each layer completely before adding the next one. If you do this step too fast, the layers will mix together rather than stay separate. A solid base helps you spread the next layer evenly, without disturbing it, much more easily.
- Run a sharp knife under hot water and dry it before slicing, and do the same after each slice. This leaves clean, sharp edges instead of cracked or messy layers.
- If your fridge is running a little slow, a quick 20-minute stint in the freezer will speed up the setting for each layer. Just be careful not to leave it in too long, as the layers can be difficult to slice neatly.
- A loosely packed crust will tend to crumble when sliced, rather than hold together as a solid base. Press down well with the back of a spoon or a flat-bottomed glass.
- Serve the bars a couple of minutes after they come out of the oven. Bars straight from the fridge can be quite firm, so allow them to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting. That gives cleaner slices and a slightly softer bite.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different nut butter?
Yes. You can replace the peanut butter with almond or cashew butter in the same quantity. The flavor and sweetness may vary a little depending on the brand you use.
Why did my layers not set properly?
This usually occurs if a layer has not been chilled long enough before the next layer is added, or the chocolate was poured when it was still too warm. Take a rest between steps.
Can I make this gluten-free?
Yes. Use gluten-free Oreo-style cookies and gluten-free cracker crumbs for the base, and the rest of this Cadbury peanut butter recipe remains naturally gluten-free.
How long do these bars stay fresh?
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze and thaw properly before serving for up to 1 month.
