Directions

The tart base is simple to make, even if you're a beginner. Add flour, butter, cocoa powder, and brown sugar to a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is fully combined. Add 1 to 3 tablespoons of chilled water, a little at a time, and pulse until the dough becomes soft and pliable, but not sticky.

Once the dough is ready, roll the dough into a circle. Carefully transfer the dough to a tart pan. Alternatively, you can press the dough directly into the pan without rolling. Press it evenly into the bottom and sides of the tart pan to form the crust. Trim any excess dough.

Prick the base of the tart shell with a fork to prevent bubbling. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the crust for 10–15 minutes, or until it feels dry to the touch.

After baking, allow the tart to remain undisturbed in the pan, giving it ample time to cool gradually to room temperature. This resting period helps the tart set properly, ensuring a stable structure and enhancing its overall texture and flavor.

Melt the Bournville chocolate using a small saucepan over low heat, or preferably in a double boiler to prevent scorching. Add the melted chocolate to the coconut cream.

Stir gently and continuously until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined, forming a glossy, uniform ganache.

Add the avocado, cocoa powder, honey and vanilla essence to chocolate mixture. And blend until the mixture is as smooth as possible. Taste and adjust sweetness, if needed add honey as per your taste.

Add chopped cashew nuts to the prepared avocado mousse and mix well. Let it chill down inside the fridge for 30 minutes.

Pour the chocolate-avocado mousse into the cooled tart shell and spread evenly.

Garnish with cherries and chopped pistachios on top.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is set. Once set properly, slice and serve immediately.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for a few hours or in the fridge for up to 3 days.
