For the Recipe
For making the Gujiya Dough- Flour - 1.5 cups
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of sugar
- Water as required to make the dough
- Mixed dry fruits & raisins - 2 tsp
- Desiccated coconut - 2 tsp
- Chopped Cadbury 5 Star Chocolate - 1 packet
- Melted Chocolate (for coating)
- Pistachio and Dried Rose Petals (garnishing)
Directions

Chop the Cadbury 5 Star chocolates into small, bite-sized pieces.

In a bowl, combine the chopped chocolates with dry fruits, raisins, and desiccated coconut.

Mix everything well until evenly combined. Your delicious gujiya filling is ready. Set it aside.

To prepare the gujiya dough, add ghee and a pinch of salt to the maida.

Gradually add water as required and knead well to form a soft, smooth dough.

Take a small portion of the dough, roll it out evenly, and cut it into small round discs.

Place one dough disc on a flat surface and spoon a generous amount of the prepared filling into the centre.

Fold the dough over the filling, then seal and crimp the edges neatly with a fork.

Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling. Arrange the prepared gujiyas on a baking tray and lightly brush them with ghee.

Bake at 175°C for 8–10 minutes, or until beautifully golden. Alternatively, you can deep-fry the gujiyas until crisp and golden.

Once baked, transfer the gujiyas onto parchment paper. Drizzle or pipe melted chocolate over them in delicate lines, or dip half of each gujiya into the chocolate for a more indulgent finish.

For a festive touch, garnish with finely chopped pistachios and delicate dried rose petals. Allow the chocolate to set completely.

Arrange the beautiful gujiyas on a serving platter and let the chocolate set at room temperature. Serve and enjoy these delicious homemade chocolate gujiyas with your friends and family, and celebrate Diwali with a little extra sweetness.
Make sure the dough is soft and smooth, but not too soft or sticky. This helps the gujiyas hold their shape while baking. Add just enough filling so the gujiya seals easily without bursting during baking.
