Servings
For the Recipe
- Desiccated coconut - 2 cups
- Condensed milk - ½ cup
- Ghee - 1 tsp
- Milk powder - 1 tsp
- Cardamom powder - ½ tsp
- Cadbury Bournville (melted) - 2 tsp
- Cadbury Gems, roughly chopped - ¼ cup (1 small packet)
Directions

Heat a teaspoon of ghee in a non-stick pan. Add the desiccated coconut and lightly toast over low heat for 2–3 minutes, taking care not to let it brown.

Pour in the condensed milk and mix well until thoroughly combined.

Cook over low heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture comes together and turns slightly sticky. Add the milk powder and mix well.

Add the melted Cadbury Bournville chocolate and cardamom powder, and stir until evenly incorporated.

Continue cooking for another 1–2 minutes, stirring gently, until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan.

Turn off the heat and gently fold in the chopped or crushed Cadbury Gems.

Mix just enough to distribute the Gems evenly, taking care not to overmix and melt the chocolate coating.

Grease or line a small square tray with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture to the tray and press it down firmly into an even layer. Smooth the surface using the back of a spoon.

Generously sprinkle Cadbury Gems over the top and gently press them into the surface. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm. Cut into neat squares and serve.
Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for 2–3 days.
