For the Recipe

  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Milk powder - 1/2 cup
  • Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Cadbury Cocoa Powder - 2 tsp
  • Silver warq (optional for garnishing)

Directions

Chocolate Pedas-Heat ghee in a pan
Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan over low heat, then add the milk powder.

Chocolate Pedas-Gradually pour in the condensed mil
Step 2

Gradually pour in the condensed milk, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.

Chocolate Pedas-Keep stirring until the mixture
Step 3

Keep stirring until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken slightly (about 2–3 minutes).

Chocolate Pedas-Sift in the cocoa powder
Step 4

Sift in the cocoa powder and mix well to combine.

Chocolate Pedas-Continue cooking on low heat
Step 5

Continue cooking on low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan and forms a dough-like consistency (about 5–7 minutes). Add cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off the heat.

Chocolate Pedas-Allow the mixture to cool slightly
Step 6

Allow the mixture to cool slightly until warm but comfortable to handle. Grease your palms and roll small portions into smooth balls, then gently flatten to form pedas.

Chocolate Pedas-Garnish with edible silver foil
Step 7

Garnish with edible silver foil, if desired. Serve and enjoy.

Tips:

Store in an airtight container up to 3-4 days.
