By Bhavana Verma

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
2 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
¾ cup sugar
½ cup yogurt (or buttermilk)
½ cup hot milk
¼ cup dark chocolate chunks
¼ cup milk chocolate chunks
½ cup mixed dry fruits

Prepare

Set the oven to 175°C for preheating. Grease and line one 8-inch cake pan.

Soak Fruits

Soak chopped dry fruits in hot milk for 10 minutes to soften them. Drain and keep aside.

Mix Dry Ingredients

Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.

Whisk Wet Ingredients

Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add oil and yogurt for moisture and mix well.

Combine and Fill

Add dry mixture to wet mixture in batches. Stir in hot milk. Fold in dark chocolate chunks and pour the batter in the pan and layer with dry fruits.

Bake and Serve

Bake for 30-35 minutes until cake is fully baked. Check by inserting a toothpick in the center, if it comes out clean means cake is baked. Serve after cooling cake down.
