1/2 cup raw rice
1/4 cup moong dal
1/2 cup grated jaggery (adjust to taste)
2.5 cups water
2 tablespoons ghee
8-10 cashews
8-10 raisins
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Dry roast moong dal until its aromatic. Rince it with rice and set aside.
Cook rice and dal mixture with water in a pressure cooker for 3-4 whistles.
Melt jaggery in water, strain to remove lumps, and mix it into cooked dal mixture.
Simmer the mixture in low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Fry cashews and raisins in ghee, add it to cooked mixture along with cardamom powder. Mix well and serve.
