Step by Step Guide to Oreo Tiramisu with a Desi Touch

By Deepali Verma

Crush and Layer Oreos

Crush Oreos in chunky bits, not powdered. Layer them at the bottom of your serving dish for a chocolatey, bold base.

Brew Desi-Style Coffee

Prepare a robust, spiced coffee with cardamom or a pinch of cinnamon. Allow it to cool slightly and use it to soak the Oreo layers.

Whip Up the Cream Mixture

Whip heavy cream with a hint of condensed milk until it's smooth and thick. This provides a sweet, rich Indian-style flavor without being overpowering.

Soak and Stack

Fast and furiously dunk additional Oreos into the coffee that has been brewed and spoon over the layers on top of the cream. Repeat until your dish is completed to the rim.

Chill and Dust

Chill the tiramisu for not less than 4 hours. Sprinkle some cocoa powder dust on top, then sprinkle some crushed pistachios as the final desi flourish.
