Pumpkin Halwa: Vrat-Special Recipe Nine Days Of Fasting

Ingredients

2 cups grated pumpkin
1/4 cup ghee
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk or water
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp chopped nuts

Cook Pumpkin

Heat ghee in a pan and add grated pumpkin.
Saute for 5-7 minutes until pumpkin softens.

Add Milk or Water

Pour milk or water and cook for 5-10 minutes until liquid is absorbed and pumpkin is mushy.

Add Sweetner

Add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens.
Then add cardamom powder and mix well.

Add Nuts

At this point
include chopped nuts like almond
cashews and raisins.
Combine well.

Serve

Serve the pumpkin halwa in decorative plates and garnish with more chopped nuts.
