Navratri Prasad Recipes: Sweet Potato Halwa For Sattvic Fasting

Ingredients

2 medium-sized sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons ghee
1/2 cup jaggery
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Chopped dry fruits for garnish

Boil and Mash Sweet Potatoes

Boil the sweet potatoes until soft and mash it to smooth texture.

Roast

Heat ghee in a pan and add mashed potatoes.
Roast on medium heat while stirring for 5-7 minutes until golden and aromatic.

Add Milk and Cook

Add milk and mix well.
You can replace milk with water as well.
Cook for 4-5 minutes.

Sweeten the Halwa

Add jaggery and mix well.
Condinue cooking until jaggery is totally dossolved.

Flavor and Garnish

Once mixture thickens
add cardamom powder and mix.
Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
