1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
½ cup sour cream (or yogurt)
½ cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup chocolate chips
Set oven to 175°C and grease a 9-inch cake pan.
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one by one followed by vanilla, sour cream, and coffee. Mix with every addition.
Combine wet and dry mixes then fold in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool and serve.
