Select Fresh Fruit

To get the best flavor, make sure to select fruits that are ripe and in season. Strawberries, raspberries, apricots, or blueberries are all great options.

Prepare Ingredients

Please wash, peel, and remove the pits from the fruit as necessary. Gather some sugar, lemon juice, and if desired, pectin for achieving the ideal consistency.

Combine and Simmer

In a pot, combine the mixed fruit, sugar, and lemon juice. Let the mixture simmer gently over low heat until it thickens, making sure to stir it often.

Perform Gel Test

To test for consistency, simply put a small amount on a cold plate. When the jam wrinkles, it indicates that it is ready

Sterilize Jars

First, make sure to wash the jars and lids thoroughly. After that, you can choose to sterilize them either by boiling them in water or by using the oven.

Jar and Seal

Cap jars, but leave a little headspace. Put the lid on, cook it in a water bath, and then savor your own jam!
