4 ripe pears
½ cup sugar
¾ cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp pear liqueur or white wine
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Let it cool.
Add chopped pears to a blender along with lemon juice, vanilla, and cooled syrup. Blend until smooth and strain through fine sieve.
You can churn this mixture with ice cream maker or put it in a shallow dish and freeze for 1-2 hours.
Scoop pear sorbet into bowls, garnish, and serve.
