How To Prepare Vietnamese Coffee Jelly: A Refreshing Dessert With A Coffee Kick

Ingredients

2 tablespoons instant coffee
1 tablespoon gelatin powder
1/4 cup granulatedsugar
2 cups water
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup whole milk
Ice cubes

Prepare the Coffee and Gelatin

Dissolve instant coffee in 2 cups of hot water. In a different bowl, sprinkle gelatin powder over ¼ cup of cold water and let sit for 5 minutes.

Melt Gelatin

Once gelatin has bloomed, heat it gently in the microwave or on low heat until it dissolves for 30 seconds.

Combine Coffee and Gelatin

Stir the dissolved gelatin mixture into brewed coffee. Add sugar and mix well.

Set the Jelly

Pour the coffee and gelatin mixture into a shallow mold and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Prepare the Milk Mixture

Mix condensed milk and milk in a small bowl until well combined.

Assemble

Unmold the jelly after it's firm and pour the milk mixture over it. Serve it chilled.
