How To Make Vegan Sago Pudding: A Dairy-Free Twist On The Classic

Ingredients

½ cup sago pearls
2 cups coconut milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Fruits for garnish

Soak the Sago

Rinse sago and soak in water for 30 minutes.

Cook the Sago

Drain sago and boil in water for 10 minutes. Stir to prevent sticking.

Simmer with Coconut Milk

Combine cooked sago and coconut milk. Add vanilla, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 5-7 minutes while stirring.

Adjust the Consistency

Add some more plant-based milk if pudding is thick or let simmer if its thin.

Serve and Garnish

Spoon pudding in bowls, garnish with fresh fruits, serve warm or chilled.
