400 ml full-fat coconut milk
3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
2 tbsp cornstarch (or agar-agar for a vegan option)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Combine the sugar and coconut milk in a saucepan and heat over medium heat.
Add the cornstarch to the coconut milk mixture after dissolving it in a few tablespoons of lukewarm water in a small bowl.
Keep stirring until the mixture thickens, which should take five to seven minutes.
Pour into serving cups, add vanilla essence, and chill for two to three hours to solidify.
