How To Make Affogato: Italian Gelato Drowned In Espresso

Ingredients

For Vanilla Gelato:
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

For Espresso:
2 tbsp ground coffee (or use an espresso machine)

Prepare The Gelato

Heat the cream
milk
and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
Allow to cool
then whisk in an ice cream maker until smooth
adding vanilla and freeze.

Brew Espresso

Make a shot of espresso according to your favorite technique.

Put Together

Place a scoop of gelato in a bowl and cover it with hot espresso.
