Although pretty to look at and pleasing to the eye, glass and porcelain bakeware must be handled with utmost care and delicacy, in order to maintain its lifespan and use them more often in the kitchen.
Be mindful about transitioning your glass or porcelain bakeware from high to low or low to high temperatures, to avoid cracking them.
Once the contents of your bakeware have been eaten or emptied, it is important to clean them immediately after use.
For tough or stubborn stains, apply a paste of baking soda and lemon juice over the stain and allow it to dry relatively before rinsing well.
Prevent your batter or other ingredients from sticking to the surface of your glass and porcelain bakeware – making cleaning harder – by greasing the surface with some oil or butter.
Use a silicone or wooden spoon and spatula to scoop the contents of your bakeware on to a plate or another dish, since metal spoons tend to cause damage by scratches.
