Gluten-Free Barfi Recipes For A Healthier Sweet Treat

Ingredients

2 cups almond flour 1 cup full-fat coconut milk 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup water 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom Chopped nuts for garnish

Prepare

Grease a square dish or tray with coconut oil and set aside. Assemble all the ingredients listed.

Make sugar syrup

Prepare sugar syrup with sugar and water.

Make coconut almond cream

Combine almond flour and coconut milk in a large saucepan and stir well to leave no lumps. Stir continuously to make the mixture thick for 10-15 minutes until it starts leaving the sides.

Make barfi mixture

Slowly pour the hot sugar syrup into the mixture and stir it well. Add ground cardamom and heat up ti make it thick while stirring continuously.

Set the barfi

Once the mixture is thick enough, pour it out on the baking dish and spread with a spatula evenly.

Garnish

Garnish with chopped nuts and set in the fridge. Then slice it up and serve.
