Easy Recipe For Whole Grain Gingerbread Chocolate Chip Waffle

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp molasses
1 egg
¾ cup milk
¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Mix dry ingredients

Combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, and ginger in a bowl. Add some spices of choice like cinnamon and nutmeg.

Add wet ingredients

Stir in egg, milk, and molasses until a smooth batter forms.

Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in chocolate chips and set aside. Heat up the waffle iron.

Cook and Serve

Ladle the batter onto waffle iron, cook for 3-5 minutes then serve warm with maple syrup.
