Delicious Arabic Bread Pudding Recipe For Your Next Party

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons rose water
10 slices of stale white bread
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Prepare Syrup

Dissolve sugar in water on medium heat. Add lemon juice and rose water and let cook until thick.

Prepare Bread Base

Toast the bread slices and arrange on a shallow dish to make a compact layer.

Pour Syrup

Pour the prepared sugar syrup on the bread layer and let soak.

Make Cream Topping

Heat milk, cream, and sugar until sugar dissolves. Add the cornstarch and water mixture.

Assemble

Pour cream on bread base, let soak for 2 hours then slice up and serve.
