Celebrate Baisakhi With A Delicious Dessert Featuring A Chocolate Touch

Ingredients

1/4 cup Basmati rice (soaked for 30 minutes)
4 cups full-fat milk
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews)

Cook Rice

Combine soaked rice and milk in a heavy bottomed pan. Bring to a boil then simmer on medium heat for 20–25 minutes. Stir to avoid sticking.

Add Cocoa and Chocolate

Add cocoa powder and chopped dark chocolate. Stir continuously until chocolate melts.

Add Sweetener

Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Adjust according to flavor preference. Let simmer for 5–10 minutes. Add cardamom powder for flavor.

Finish

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped nuts. Serve warm or chilled.
