2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
½ tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks or 225 g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, cold and cubed
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup (120 g) semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and cream cheese and mix. Add vanilla and make a dough.
Melt chocolate. Mix sugar and cinnamon and keep aside.
Roll dough then cut from radius to make triangles. Brush chocolate and sprinkle cinnamon sugar. Roll it like cinnamon rolls.
Egg wash the rugelach and bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes until flaky. Cool and serve.
