Watercolour doesn't just look great on paper, it can also be a great technique to decorate the cake and make it artistic. By changing the colours, and intensity and creating beautiful gradients, the watercolour effect makes the cake look elegant and delightful effortlessly.

1.Watercolour Wash

Mix food colouring and lemon extract to make the watercolour and paint the cake fondant using a paintbrush creating a wash effect.

2.Wet-on-Wet Technique

Apply the base layer of light colour fondant on the cake then while the fondant is wet, paint different colours directly into it.

3.Watercolor Flowers

Use a fine paintbrush to create different coloured flowers on the fondant.

4.Splatter Effect

Flick the bristles toward the cake to make a beautiful splatter effect.

5.Ombre Watercolor

Create an ombre gradient by painting the bottom of the cake with the darkest shade and gradually blending lighter shades to the top.
