Follow the fruit parfait recipe below and make this festival memorable.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1½ cups mixed fresh fruits like berries, mango, kiwi, banana, or grapes
  • ½ cup granola or crushed digestive biscuits
  • A few mint leaves, for garnish
  • Chia seeds or chopped nuts, for topping

Method:

Step 1: Prepare Yogurt

Start off by preparing the yogurt. For this, mix the Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup to sweeten it. Whisk until it becomes fluffy and smooth. If you don’t want the Greek yogurt to be sweet, you can skip adding any sweetener. If you like more flavor in the yogurt, you can select different flavor options like vanilla or strawberry over plain yogurt. Make sure to select the flavor that complements with other ingredients.

Step 2: Prepare the Glasses

Take serving glasses with different unique designs that evokes the feel of a gourmet dessert. You can also do it in small jars or transparent cups. Chill the glasses before layering the parfait so that it keeps the parfait fresh for longer.

Step 3: Prepare the Fruits

Choose as many fruits as you like to bring the bright spirit of summer into your parfait. If you want a homogenous flavor, choose the fruits of similar flavor profile or if you want to be a little more adventurous, you can add as many flavor profiles as you like. The most popular options for a DIY no-bake fruit parfait are citrus fruits, tropical fruits, and berries. Options in citrus fruits include orange, clementine, tangerine, and blood orange. For the tropical fruits, the popular choices are papaya, mango, banana, and passion fruit. And for the berries, you can choose strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and so on. You can create parfait with just tropical fruits, citrus fruits, or just berries, or you can mix it all together to make a fruity blast. Slice up the fruits of your choice and set them aside.

Step 4: Prepare the Crumb Base

A no-bake parfait is usually made with a crumb base made of crushed cookies, biscuits, and sponge cake. For this easy no-bake fruit parfait recipe, you can go with a simple graham cracker base, granola base, or Oreo cookie base. Just crush the cookies into fine crumbs by putting them in a zip lock bag and using a rolling pin, or if you want a finer texture, use a food processor. Both options give slightly different results. If you like chunks of cookies you can crush the cookies manually or if you want a finer texture you can go with a food processor.

Step 5: Layer the Ingredients

Now once you have gathered all the elements, it is time to layer up the parfait. Take the glasses out from the fridge and start by layering from the base to the top. Place a layer of crushed cookies or granola at the bottom and press it firmly. Now add a layer of fruit pieces and spread it in a single layer. Top it with a dollop of yogurt and spread evenly. Repeat the layers until the glass is full. In between layers, you can also add some crushed nuts or sprinkles to enhance the appearance of the parfait and give it a texture contrast as well.

Step 6: Top & Garnish

Top it off with a dollop of yogurt, a few pieces of fresh fruits, a sprinkle of chia seeds, crushed nuts, and a mint leaf for a fresh kick. You can also go creative with the topping by using whipped cream frosting or ice cream.

Step 7: Chill & Serve

Serve the parfait immediately to enjoy the crunch of the base as overtime the moisture of the ingredients will get to the crunchy layers. If you want to serve it later, refrigerate it for 30 minutes and serve it chilled and soft. Both ways, the parfait will taste delicious.
