So, try the 3 recipes below made with Oreo biscuit, milk powder fudge, in 3 different ways and forms.
1. Oreo Biscuit Milk Powder Fudge
Ingredients
- 20 Oreo cookies (about 2 standard packs)
- 1 cup milk powder (full cream)
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
Method
- Break the biscuits (including the cream and all) into chunks and blitz them in a blender or food processor until fine. No blender? Put them in a ziplock and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a mixing bowl. Add 1 cup of milk powder and mix well.
- Pour in the condensed milk gradually, mixing with a spoon or clean hands until you get a dough-like texture. It should hold its shape but not be overly sticky. You can adjust with more milk powder or condensed milk if needed.
- Press the mixture into a small tray or square dish lined with parchment paper. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
- Pop it into the fridge for at least 1 hour or until firm. Then slice into squares or bars.
2. Oreo Milk Powder Truffles
Ingredients
- 15 Oreo biscuits
- ¾ cup milk powder
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
Method
- Place the Oreo cookies (no need to remove the cream) into a food processor or blender. Blitz until you get a fine, sandy texture. If you don’t have a processor, you can put the biscuits into a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Transfer the Oreo crumbs into a mixing bowl. Add ¾ cup of milk powder and stir well with a spoon to combine. This helps create a dry base for the dough.
- Pour in the condensed milk a little at a time, mixing continuously. You’ll notice the mixture becoming thick and sticky. Keep mixing until it comes together into a smooth, pliable dough. If it feels too wet, sprinkle in a bit more milk powder. If it’s too dry or crumbly, add a little more condensed milk.
- Take small portions of the dough and roll them between your palms into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch wide. You should get around 12-15 truffles.
- Arrange the truffles on a plate or tray. Refrigerate them for 30 minutes to 1 hour so they firm up nicely. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
- Roll in extra Oreo crumbs, cocoa powder, or desiccated coconut for a fun coating. Stick them with toothpicks for a party-friendly version.
3. Layered Oreo Milk Powder Fudge Bars
Ingredients
- 20 Oreo biscuits
- 1 cup milk powder
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
Method
- Gently twist apart each Oreo biscuit and scrape off the white cream filling using a butter knife or spoon. Keep the chocolate biscuits in one bowl and the cream filling in another.
- Crush the Oreo biscuits (without the cream) into a fine powder using a food processor or rolling pin method. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with ½ cup milk powder.
- Gradually add ¼ cup condensed milk, mixing until a thick dough forms. Press this mixture evenly into the base of a small, parchment-lined tray or dish (around 6x6 inches). Use the back of a spoon to flatten and smooth it out.
- In another bowl, combine the scraped Oreo cream, remaining ½ cup milk powder, and ¼ cup condensed milk. Stir well until it becomes smooth and creamy. This mixture should be slightly softer than the base but still firm enough to spread.
- Gently spread the creamy top layer over the Oreo base, using a spatula or the back of a spoon. Smooth out the top as best as you can for a clean finish.
- Place the tray in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 1-2 hours, or until fully set. Once firm, lift it out of the tray using the parchment paper and slice it into neat squares or rectangles.
- Optional: Drizzle melted white or dark chocolate on top for that wow factor.
