At times like these, no-bake cakes can be a great rescue for you.

Follow the recipe below and create a delightful cake without the need to bake.

Step-By-Step Oreo Ice Cream Sandwich Cake Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 10–12 Oreo ice cream sandwiches (store-bought)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup crushed Oreos (plus extra for topping)
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup
  • Sprinkles
  • A few whole Oreos for garnish

Method:

Step 1: Layer the Base

Crush 10-12 Oreo cookies in a food processor or by thumping it with a rolling pin. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk into the crushed Oreos and mix it to make a thick and sticky base. Prepare the baking dish with either square or rectangular shape by greasing it with butter and lining with parchment paper. Press this mixture well into the prepared sheet, creating a firm base. Make the surface of the base even. Freeze for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2: Make the Oreo Ice Cream Layer

Combine softened vanilla ice cream with chopped Oreo cookies in a mixing bowl. Mix gently to make the Oreo ice cream blend.

Step 3: Assemble the Cake:

Take out the base from the freezer and spread the Oreo ice cream mixture over it. Spread out evenly to make the top layer smooth. You can also use a spatula to smoothen the top. Put it in the freezer again for about 1 to 2 hours until it is firm and holds together.

Step 4: Add the Creamy Layer

Once the ice cream layer is set and firm, spread out a layer of whipped cream or any whipped topping of your choice on top. You can layer the Oreo ice cream and crumb one more time to make a two-tiered presentation. Drizzle some chocolate syrup on the top with some extra crumbs and pieces of Oreo cookies. If you like to make it colorful, add some sprinkles or Cadbury Gems. Some mini chocolate chips will also make the cake delicious.

Step 5: Final Freeze:

Freeze the entire cake for at least 4 hours, or overnight. In this way, you can serve the cake in its best condition the next day. This also gives you the freedom to prepare the cake a day before so you can be free on the day of the event.

Step 6: Slice & Serve:

Before slicing the cake, let it sit at room temperature for at least 5 minutes. If the crowd is too large, you can cut the cake into squares for easy serving. Serve the cake chilled.
