recipe are from your pantry staples. The fuss-free process involves no mixing, beating, or combining dry and wet ingredients. Instead, perfect layering is the key here. Once the layers are stacked, all you need to do is simply bake the assembled bars in the oven until toasty brown.

What Are the 7 Layers?

The true essence of this

magic bar with Silk drizzle

recipe lies in the smooth layering of nuts, chocolate chips, coconut, butterscotch chips, all glued together with sweetened condensed milk and baked until golden brown.

The seven layers in these magic bars include Graham crackers, butter, sweetened condensed milk, semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, pecans, and shredded coconut. However, to some extent, it is a misnomer to mention butter as a layer, as it gets mixed with the graham crackers to make the bottom layer.

Magic bars with Silk drizzle: Step-by-step Guide

Prepare the Magic Bars

Make the crust

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare a baking pan. Grease it with cooking oil, and then line it with parchment paper.

Step 2:

Take a large mixing bowl. Add the graham cracker crumbs and the melted butter to it and toss it until the crumbs are moist.

Step 3:

Transfer the crumbs to the baking pan. Press the crumbs well with your fingers to form a uniform base layer.

Layering

Step 4:

Start layering with sweetened condensed milk over the graham cracker crust and spread it well to the edges of the pan with a spatula.

Step 5:

Now, over the top of the condensed milk, add the rest of the layers, including chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, pecans, and sweetened coconut.

Step 6:

Once the layers are added, gently set the ingredients with your hands so they stay glued to each other.

Baking

Step 7:

Place the assembled layers in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the edges of the bars turn golden brown.

Step 8:

Remove the baking pan from the oven and sprinkle the magic bars with the sea salt.

Chilling

Step 10:

Allow the magic bars to cool completely before lifting them out of the pan. Put them in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight for a firm texture.

Step 11:

Remove them from the refrigerator and slice using a clean, warm knife.

Prepare the Silk Drizzle

Step 1:

To prepare the Silk chocolate drizzle, break the chocolate into pieces.

Step 2:

Take a small saucepan and pour some heavy cream into it.

Step 3:

Place the saucepan on medium heat.

Step 4:

Now add the Silk chocolate blocks, butter, and sugar to the warm heavy cream and keep stirring it constantly until the chocolate melts and the mixture becomes glossy and smooth.

Step 5:

Allow it to cool for some time, and then pour the drizzle over the magic bars using a squeeze bottle and serve.

For firm and chewy bars, it is recommended to store them in the fridge for up to a week.
